Robbery Suspect Added to TBI's Top Ten

NASHVILLE - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has added a Franklin, Tenn., man to its list of TBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted fugitives for committing two armed robberies earlier this month in Williamson County, Tenn. Marshall Andy Popple, 26, 2646 Churchill Drive, Thompson’s Station, Tenn., is wanted by the Franklin Police Department for Aggravated Robbery and Theft Under $500.

In the early morning hours of August 11, 2008, Popple walked into the La Quinta Inn, 4207 Franklin Commons Ct., Franklin, TN and pulled out a knife and gun on the clerk. Then two days later, he robbed the Regions Bank located at 4934 Main Street, Spring Hill, TN. For that crime, he’s wanted by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office for two counts of Theft over $1000.

Popple is a white male with red hair and hazel eyes. He stands 6’2” and weighs approximately 180 lbs. He has a spider tattoo on his left arm. He was recently paroled from the Tennessee Department of Corrections where he was serving a three year sentence for Robbery. He has a lengthy criminal history including DUI, Simple Possession, Aggravated Burglary, Domestic Assault and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Law enforcement considers him dangerous and he should be approached with caution. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Marshall Andy Popple should contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND. There’s a $1000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
