Tennessee Department of Health announces that the suspension of admissions at Oak Manor Health Care Center nursing home has been lifted effective April 25, 2008. The nursing home is a 66-bed licensed nursing home located at 150 Oak Manor Road in McKenzie. The Department confirmed the facility has returned to substantial compliance for state licensing purposes, and the deficient practices and conditions have been corrected as stated in the facility’s plan of correction, which was approved by federal and state authorities.

On April 14, the nursing home was ordered not to admit any new residents based on conditions found during a complaint investigation conducted April 4 through April 7. During the investigation, surveyors found violations of the following standards: resident protection; administration; resident assessment; performance improvement; nursing services; and social services.
