Milan Health Care Center Admissions Suspension Lifted

Monday, March 17, 2008 | 07:00pm

Tennessee Department of Health announces that the suspension of admissions at Milan Health Care Center nursing home has been lifted effective March 11. The nursing home is a 66-bed licensed nursing home located at 8060 Stinson Street in Milan. The Department confirmed the facility has returned to substantial compliance for state licensing purposes, and the deficient practices and conditions have been corrected as stated in the facility’s plan of correction, which was approved by federal and state authorities.

On February 28, the nursing home was ordered not to admit any new residents based on conditions found during an annual survey conducted February 11 through February 20. During the investigation, surveyors found violations of the following standards: protection from abuse, administration, nursing services, performance improvement and social services.
