Life Care Center Of Elizabethton Admissions Suspension Lifted

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Department of Health announces that the suspension of admissions at Life Care Center of Elizabethton has been lifted. The facility is a 158-bed licensed nursing home located at 1641 Highway 19E Bypass. The Department confirmed the facility has returned to substantial compliance for state licensing purposes, and the deficient practices and conditions have been corrected as stated in the facility’s plan of correction, which was approved by federal and state authorities.

On November 3, the nursing home was ordered not to admit any new residents based on conditions found during a complaint investigation conducted October 20 through October 28. During the survey, surveyors found violations of the following standards: administration and nursing services.
