Clarksville Man Added to TBI's Top Ten

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation today added a Clarksville, TN man to its list of TBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted fugitives for numerous warrants after two separate incidents in August 2008 along Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Johnathon Curci Covington, 19, last known address 809 Laurel Drive, Clarksville, TN is wanted by the Clarksville Police Department for five counts of Reckless Endangerment, one count of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and one count of Aggravated Robbery. On August 4, 2008 a resident on Weeping Willow Drive discovered Covington lingering in his yard. Covington ran when the resident approached him and he fired several shots toward the house hitting the family dog twice in the head injuring him. Covington fled the scene.
 
Ten days later, Covington agreed to give someone a ride from the Hardee’s on Fort Campbell Boulevard to a liquor store. While in the car, Covington pulled next to a grocery store and held up the victim at gunpoint stealing 70-dollars.
 
Covington has a lengthy criminal history including several Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Burglary charges. He also has warrants for his arrest in Texas for Robbery. Covington is a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He stands 5’10” and weighs approximately 140 lbs. He has a tattoo reading “Lamar” on his left wrist and a loop on his right wrist.
