Thursday, March 01, 2007 | 06:00pm

The Tennessee Department of Health announced that the Board of Medical Examiners has summarily suspended the medical license of Raymond J. Enzenauer, M.D, of Chattanooga. As a result of the suspension, Enzenauer is immediately prohibited from practicing medicine in the state. Within seven business days of the issuance of the order, he does have the right to request an informal hearing, review or conference with the Board to present his version of the situation.

Enzenauer’s license was suspended for the following violations:

·         Engaging in the practice of medicine when mentally or physically unable to safely do so; and

·         unprofessional, dishonorable and unethical conduct.

At the time of his summary suspension, Enzenauer was on probation by way of an order dated January 23, 2007. At that time, the Board disciplined him for acting inappropriately at his practice location and for entering into a sexual relationship with a patient. In addition to placing Enzenauer on probation, the Board ordered the medical doctor to meet certain terms and conditions as a result of the discipline.

Enzenauer was originally licensed to practice medicine in Tennessee in 2001.
