Jackson Firing Range Offers Sight-In Opportunity For Hunters

Thursday, November 08, 2007 | 06:00pm

The Tennessee Sports Foundation (TSF) will open its Roderick M. Fitz-Randolph firing range complex to the public on October 27 and November 10, 2007, to allow area hunters an opportunity to sight-in their hunting firearms. Sight-in times for these days will be from 12:00 – 5:00 pm. A fee of $10.00 will be charged and each shooter must sign a wavier before using the range.

“Every year we get lots of phone calls from people in the Jackson area asking about places to sight in their firearms before the hunting seasons,” stated Brian Thompson, TWRA Region I Hunter Education Coordinator. “This year we are lucky enough to have the TSF open their ranges to the public for a small fee which should help solve this problem.”

The Tennessee Sports Foundation is a private club with their range complex located 7 (seven) miles south of Jackson on Riverside Drive. For more information about the TSF, go to www.tnsportsfoundation.org.
