Hillcrest North Admissions Suspension Lifted

Tennessee Department of Health announces that the suspension of admissions at Hillcrest North nursing home has been lifted effective November 14, 2007. The nursing home is a 271-bed licensed nursing home located at 5321 Beverly Park Circle in Knoxville. The Department conducted a follow-up survey and confirmed the facility has returned to substantial compliance for state licensing purposes, and the deficient practices and conditions have been corrected as stated in the facility’s plan of correction, which was approved by federal and state authorities.

On November 6, Hillcrest was ordered not to admit any new patients based on conditions found during complaint investigations and an extended survey conducted October 12 through October 26. During the investigation, surveyors found violations of administration and physician notification standards.
