Youth Day Scheduled At John Sevier Hunter Ed. Center

A youth day, which will introduce youngsters to many outdoor skills, is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2007, at the John Sevier Hunter Education Center in Knoxville, according to Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA).

“If you are between the ages of 10 and 16 and have always wanted to learn some outdoor skills or even have the desire to develop your outdoor skills further, then this youth outdoor clinic is for you,” said Tommy Whitehead, Education Center manager.

This fun filled instructional event is free of charge and will be hosted by the John Sevier Range, Quail Unlimited, Volunteer Rifle and Pistol Club, Smoky Mountain Archers, Tennessee Valley Sportsman Club, and TWRA.

Activities scheduled for the event are: Orientation & Retriever Demonstration, Introduction to Shotgun, Introduction to Rifle, Introduction to Archery, Introduction to Hunting, and Wildlife Habitat.
