Celebrate Christmas On The Mountain at Fall Creek Falls December 1-3

Pikeville, Tenn. – Get into the holiday spirit with the annual Christmas on the Mountain Celebration at Fall Creek Falls State Park. This year’s event begins Friday, December 1st and runs through Sunday, December 3, 2006 at the Fall Creek Falls Inn and Conference Center. The celebration kicks off on Friday night with a special presentation by the Bell Choir and the Vocal Choir of Heritage Academy.

The celebration will include craft displays and sales, Christmas carols and activities for children and adults throughout the weekend. Activities include Christmas craft making and Victorian tea parties. The tea parties will be offered Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. for children ages 3-12. The inn will be decorated for Christmas, and Santa Claus will pay a visit with gifts for the children on both Friday and Saturday nights. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be have breakfast in the inn restaurant Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

Fall Creek Falls State Park features waterfalls, cascades, streams, gorges, timberland and a variety of recreation facilities and activities. The park is located in Bledsoe and Van Buren counties, 11 miles east of Spencer and 11 miles west of Pikeville. It may be entered from Highway 111 or Highway 30.
