Tennessee Unemployment Claims Data for the week ending on March 20, 2021

NASHVILLE – Death row inmate Derrick Quintero has passed away of apparent natural causes. Quintero, 59, was pronounced deceased at Riverbend Maximum Security Institution at 3:31 a.m. Monday, March 22.

NASHVILLE - The Department of Revenue is extending the filing and payment deadline for Hall income tax returns and, for certain taxpayers, the franchise and excise tax return from April 15, 2021 to May 17, 2021.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Choate Engineering Performance officials announced today that the company will establish new operations in Hardeman County. Choate will invest $8 million to retrofit and make improvements to an existing 155,000-square-foot facility, located at 1033 Lake Street in Bolivar, where the company will manufacture engines and components for the automotive industry. The project will create 100 jobs over the next five years.

Tennessee specialty license plates sales help pet owners have access to low-cost spay and neutering services. The global IT services leader will invest $9.9 million and create 350 jobs, including a focus on healthcare and manufacturing technology, as a result of the project.
