JONESBOROUGH - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to Friday’s guilty plea of Nellis Randolph Medley to two counts of tax evasion, a class E felony, and two counts of falsification of tax returns, a class E felony.

NASHVILLE - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to Brandon Tramel’s guilty plea Tuesday to two counts of tax evasion. DeKalb County Judge Gary McKenzie accepted Tramel’s guilty plea and sentenced him to two years’ probation. Tramel was ordered to pay restitution of $5,538.55.

Revenue special agents arrested Peyton, 57, Thursday at his home. Bond was set at $25,000.

The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to the arrest of Kishan Harish Patel, 27, at his store, The Wine Cellar. Bond has been set at $25,000.

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam will hold budget hearings for Fiscal Year 2018-2019 on Monday, November 6 through Thursday, November 9. The hearings will be held in the Executive Conference Room on the ground floor of the State Capitol. Haslam, Finance and Administration Commissioner Larry Martin, Chief Operating Officer Greg Adams and David Thurman, state budget director, will preside over the hearings.
