NASHVILLE - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to Brandon Tramel’s guilty plea Tuesday to two counts of tax evasion. DeKalb County Judge Gary McKenzie accepted Tramel’s guilty plea and sentenced him to two years’ probation. Tramel was ordered to pay restitution of $5,538.55.

Revenue special agents arrested Peyton, 57, Thursday at his home. Bond was set at $25,000.

The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to the arrest of Kishan Harish Patel, 27, at his store, The Wine Cellar. Bond has been set at $25,000.

SEVIERVILLE - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to the indictment and arrest of Larry Bruce Spencer for tax evasion. Revenue special agents arrested Spencer at his residence Tuesday. Bond was set at $5,000.
MEMPHIS - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to Monday’s guilty plea of Said Jaber, 47, the former owner of Whitten Express.
NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam will hold budget hearings for Fiscal Year 2018-2019 on Monday, November 6 through Thursday, November 9. The hearings will be held in the Executive Conference Room on the ground floor of the State Capitol. Haslam, Finance and Administration Commissioner Larry Martin, Chief Operating Officer Greg Adams and David Thurman, state budget director, will preside over the hearings.

The Department’s Special Investigations Section conducted the investigation that led to the arrest of Amer Salemeh Ibrahim, 45, at his store, ASR Tobacco and Beer.
HENDERSON - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to Thursday’s sentencing of Tammam Alnajjar, owner of Family Market, located at 245 West Main St. in Henderson, Tenn. Alnajjar, 32, was indicted on June 9.
