NASHVILLE, Tenn. – More than 77,000 pounds of litter were removed from communities throughout Tennessee as part of the Tennessee Department of Transportation's (TDOT) 5th Annual No Trash November, a month-long initiative dedicated to keeping the state's roadways and waterways safe from the harmful effects of litter. This year's effort surpassed the statewide goal of 75,000 pounds—demonstrating the collective impact of communities, volunteers, and partners working together across Tennessee.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Thanksgiving travelers will not be delayed by construction on Tennessee roads during this holiday. TDOT will halt all lane closure activity on interstates and state highways in anticipation of higher traffic volumes across the state. All construction-related lane closures will be suspended beginning at noon on Wednesday, November 26, and will remain in effect through 6:00 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025.
