Online Training and Testing
February 28 - March 18 = Test Date:  March 24
May 23 - June 10 = Test Date:  June 16
August 29 - September 16 = Test Date:  September 22
November 21 - December 9 = Test Date:  December 15

Tests will be proctored and taken at TLETA.  Information regarding the online classroom portion will be given on orientation day (Monday).

Start/End Time(s) Students should report to the Academy on Monday by 1700, in departmental uniform with no duty belt or weapons.

This course is designed to train law enforcement officers hired from another state, or in-state officers who have had a break in service of more than three (3) years but less than seven (7) years, or officers who attended an approved basic law enforcement school and has been hired after two (2) years of the completion of that training.  This Transition School is mandated by POST Rule 1110-02-.01 in place of challenging the POST test.

State Officers – $975
Length 120 total hours including virtual classroom and observed training
Prerequisites This training is required within six (6) months of hire date.

Officers will be required to be in uniform each day and bring duty belt, duty weapon, shotgun, handcuffs, tennis shoes, shorts, t-shirt, sweats, and groin protection.
