Description

The TLETA Tactical Pistol Instructor Course provides the training to build a Tactical Pistol Training Course for law enforcement officers.

This course focuses on the tactical use of pistols.  Topics covered during this course will include:

1. Shooter movement
2. Vehicle ballistics 
3. Shooting around barricades
4. Target identification and engagement
5. The physical and mental stages of training
6. Flat Range vs. Tactical Range Training
7. Force on Force in a tactical environment
8. Engaging a moving target
9. Training options

$195 – State Agencies
$390 – Private/Out-of-State Agencies
Length 32 hours
Prerequisites Attending students must be a certified firearms instructor and must pass the TLETA Accuracy Qualification Course with a minimum score of 90% the first day of class.
Materials

Students are required to bring:

1. Duty Pistol
2. Duty Belt
3. Holster
4. Mag Pouch
5. 3 magazines (Recommend bring more than 3 if possible)
6. Eye Protection
7. Ear Protection
8. Gloves
9. Long-sleeved shirt or sweatshirt
10. Water Bottle or other Hydration System
11. 1000 rounds of pistol ammo
12. Groin Protection for Force on Force
13. Body Armor
14. Cleaning kit

Pistol Optics:

If a student has a pistol optic and is authorized to carry it by their department, it must be zeroed and have back up sights on the weapon.
