Application for Examination

New Candidates: To be eligible for examination, your education provider must submit an online application to the testing company, PSI, and meet the requirements.  Once the completed application is submitted to PSI, they will approve eligibility for testing.  You are required to meet the pre-licensing education requirements established by the real estate laws and rules.  Once approved, PSI will email or mail an "Approval Postcard" with instructions on how to pay and schedule the examination.

Retest/Out of State Candidates: To be eligible for examination, you must submit a request to TREC. For retesting, please submit a request to reinstate at www.core.tn.gov. For out of state candidates, please reach out at trec.info@tn.gov. Once TREC staff has reviewed the request, we will enter the candidate into PSI’s system to test. PSI will then email or mail an "Approval Postcard" with instructions on how to pay and schedule the examination.
