Scam Prevention Session Targets Chattanooga Consumers on Aug. 15
Consumers Will Gain Scam-Fighting Tips to Avoid, Report ScamsNASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance’s (TDCI) Division of Consumer Affairs is partnering with the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga to provide scam-fighting tips to consumers from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (EDT) on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019.
Consumers will receive tips on preventing common scams like imposter scams, identity theft, gift card scams, sweetheart scams and more. Scam-fighting resources and information for reporting scams and deceptive business practices will also be presented.
