If you are a professional in a business that is regulated by the Department of Commerce & Insurance and you have changed your address, please see below for specific requirements on how and when to notify the Division appropriate to your field. 

A change of address or employment is reported through your core.tn.gov account. Address changes reported after 30 days have a fee of $25.00.

An agency must submit a written notification, an amended surety bond, and an amended corporate bond to the Collection Service Board. A fee to change addresses is not required.

The law requires address changes to be submitted in writing within 30 days. Failing to do so is a violation and licensees could be subject to a civil penalty of up to $1,000. State mail is not forwarded and the renewal form and license would not be delivered to the new address. To report an address change, you may use the form Address Change Request [pdf].

  • Dealers, auctions, dismantlers/recyclers, RV dealers must submit the required application and paperwork and be re-inspected at new location. A mailing address change may be made by emailing or mailing the new address to the Motor Vehicle Commission.
  • Manufacturers and distributors must also notify Motor Vehicle Commission of address change via email or postal mail.
  • Salesmen moving from one dealership to another must submit a new application [pdf].

Companies regulated to provide private probation services, for misdemeanor cases, oversee clients based on a Judge, and the Judges jurisdiction, deciding to use the private company. As such, if the company address changes, the jurisdiction needs to agree to the address change, so clients are not inconvenienced. If everything is in order, the council needs to be notified in writing of the address change. That information should be sent to Private.Probation@TN.Gov

Am I required to notify the board if I change my address?
Yes, you must notify TREAC of your current residential, business, and mailing address.  The business address and residential address must be physical addresses; you may have a post office box for the mailing address if you chose.  You may make as many copies of the form as is necessary to clearly indicate your address information.  Please remember also update phone/fax numbers, business name, and e-mail addresses.

Can I change my information online?
The Real Estate Appraiser Commission does not have the ability to take payments online at this time. Please mail the change of information form [pdf] with payment, if applicable.  Instructions are at the top of the form.  If you hold an inactive credential (not expired) or are a registered trainee there is no fee for changing your address information.  Please fill out the form and either fax the form (615-253-1692) or mail in the form to the address noted at the top of the form.

In order to change your home address you will need to create an account with http://core.tn.gov After you create an account, you will be able to go in and change your home address. There is not a fee for a home address change. Additionally you may fill out the TREC 1 Form [pdf].

The TennCare Oversight Division is responsible for overseeing, examining and monitoring Managed Care Companies (MCCs) participating in the TennCare Program.
