Text-to-911 Materials

Text to 911 is not available in all areas of Tennessee. If your jurisdiction has text to 911, below you will find outreach materials to help inform the citizens in your area.

How and When to use Flyer for Text-to-911

  1. Distribute flyer to media outlets 1 week prior to text launch and distribute to the public the day the service begins.
  2. Provide a map of your area that will be taking text to 911 for public and media (where your jurisdiction begins and ends).
  3. Generate a fact page of your district to distribute to the media.  4. Be prepared for media calls and know your fact page in order to answer questions publicly.
