At its special meeting on June 11, 2019, the Tennessee Emergency Communications Board (the “Board”) moved to hold a Public Hearing on July 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Conference Room 1-A of Davy Crockett Tower in Nashville, TN. The exclusive purpose of this Public Hearing is to obtain public comment and answer questions regarding the potential of the Board to increase the 911 surcharge rate from $1.16 to a new amount pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 7-86-128(b)(1) Members of the public are encouraged to appear at the meeting and provide comment to the Board. However, for those unable to attend in person, written comments submitted to tn.ecb@tn.gov regarding the possibility of an increase to the 911 surcharge rate will be submitted to the Board for their consideration.
