Residents of Madison County and surrounding areas will have a free opportunity to safely dispose of expired or unneeded medications and shred their personal documents or records during an event aimed at promoting identity theft prevention and consumer protection.
Documents suggested for shredding include outdated credit card statements, utility bills, investment documents, tax forms, loan documents, medical records, insurance documents, employment documents, and more.
If you are disposing of prescription medications, be sure to mark out any personal information on the label. Education materials will be available for attendees.
