At its special meeting on June 15, 2018, the Tennessee Emergency Communications Board (the “Board”) directed Board staff to hold a Public Hearing within the geographic boundaries of Pickett County. The primary purpose of this Public Hearing is to obtain public comment regarding the request from the Pickett County Commission to create a new emergency communications district for the geographic area of Pickett County and to break off from the existing Overton-Pickett Emergency Communications District. Any and all comments received will then be provided to the Board for further deliberation on the request from the Pickett County Commission.
