Agency Well-Represented at 2024 Tennessee FFA Convention

TWRA was well-represented at the 2024 Tennessee FFA Convention. The agency sponsored the fifth general session which included an opportunity for Director Jason Maxedon to speak and to show the new “Take Me Back to Tennessee” theme song.

Staff biologists and wildlife officers hosted a Careers in Natural Resources workshops. More than 60 students and teachers attended with standing room only. Communications staff, Region IV administrative staff, and officers helped with inflatable archery and an information booth in the convention expo.

This year, the 96th Tennessee FFA State Convention had a record attendance of nearly 5,700 students, teachers, and family members. Tennessee FFA strives to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. Next year’s convention is set March 23-26.
