NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Commissioner Robin Morrison kicked off today’s Tennessee Public Utility Commission (TPUC) conference as chair, her first since being appointed to the agency in 2013. Commissioner Morrison, who has served as the commission’s Vice Chairman since 2016, succeeds Commissioner David F. Jones, who has served in the capacity of chairman during the same time.

On serving in this new capacity as TPUC chair, Morrison said: "I am honored to serve as chair to continue the Tennessee Public Utility Commission’s commitment to protecting the public interest." In this capacity of chair, Commissioner Morrison will lead, direct and facilitate the commission’s public utility conferences and regulated utility hearings.

Commissioner Morrison was appointed to the TPUC by House Speaker Beth Harwell in 2013 and reappointed in 2015.
