District 47 - West TN - Northern

BENTON COUNTY, I-40 Truck Climbing Lane: Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone. *Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH.
Saturday, January 20, 5:00 a. m. through Sunday, January 21, 6:00 p. m.: There will be outside lane closures on I-40 westbound around MM 133 to remove concrete barrier rail. THP will assist with traffic control.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 423: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete I-beam bridge on SR 423 over Clear Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20: Repair of bridges over North Fork Forked Deer River. Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction.
*Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: The grading, drainage, construction of bridges, retaining wall and paving on SR 54 from near Rison Street to near Smith Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-78: Construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee bridge on SR 78 over drainage ditch including grading, drainage, and paving will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Restrictions: Tuesday, August 1 through November 30, 2018, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 9’ lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, Future I-69: Grading, drainage, construction of eight bridges on future I-69 from south of US 51 (SR 3) to south of US 45W (SR 5) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 (SR 3) portion of the project. The inside southbound lane on SR 3 is closed to all traffic for installation of barrier rail.
Restrictions: Tuesday, June 13, SR 3 has a lane shift in the north and southbound directions. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’ 6” lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, SR-5: Installation of signals on US-45W (SR 5) at the intersection of Jackson Street in Union City.

District 48 - West TN – Middle/Southern

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128:  The grading, drainage, and paving on SR 128 from south of One Stop Drive to south of Opel Loop. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways

HAYWOOD COUNTY-SR-19 (Brownsville Bypass): A widening project on SR 19 from west of Windrow Road to SR 76 south of Brownsville will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY–SR-76: Construction of a concrete bulb tee beam bridge over the Hatchie River – Wednesday, May 3, 2017 SR 76 will CLOSE approx. 1 mile south of the I-40/Exit 56 interchange for removal of the truss bridge.
*Local traffic will have access up to the bridge. An interstate detour will be posted at Exit 56 and Exit 52 (Stanton/KoKo Road).

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 (US45 Bypass) and I-40: Interchange improvements on SR-186 (US 45) north and southbound from the I-40 ramps (LM 2.83) to Old Hickory Blvd (LM 3.33) for paving and construction of retaining walls.  Widening of I-40 from just east of Exit 79 to just east of Exit 82.

Friday, January 19, 8:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.: There will be rolling lane closures on I-40 from MM 79-82 both east and westbound to repair potholes. The backup date will be Saturday, January 20, 8:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m. Weather Permitting.

 

TDOT REGION 4: On-Call Guardrail Repair/Concrete Barrier Rail Repair: Wednesday, January 17 through Wednesday, January 24: There are no scheduled closures.

TDOT MAINTENANCE: Wednesday, January 17 through Wednesday, January 24, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

Friday, January 19, 9:00 a. m.-3:30 p. m.:  There will be lane closures on I-40 in Madison County from MM 68-95 both east and westbound to repair potholes.

District 49 - West TN - Southwest

FAYETTE/SHELBY COUNTIES, I-269: Installation of signs on I-269 (redesignated SR 385)

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway. Speed limit has been reduced to 60 MPH.

 

FAYETTE COUNTY, US 70 (US 79, SR-1): A bridge repair project on SR 1 over branch will result in lane closures in both directions daily.

FAYETTE COUNTY- SR-59 over I-40: A bridge repair project on US-70 (SR 79, SR 1) over branch and on SR 59 over I-40.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Exit 1 to Exit 1A: Bridge repair project will cause possible lane closures on I-40 over the Mississippi River and 5 bridges over Wolf River, various ramps and city streets and railroad.

Friday, January 19, 7:00 p. m. through Monday, January 22, 5:00 a. m.: Riverside Drive northbound ramp access to I-40 east will be CLOSED at Jefferson Avenue to replace the joints (This ramp carries traffic from Riverside Drive northbound to I-40 westbound into Arkansas). Detour routes will be along Front Street for Arkansas westbound traffic and Third Street for Tennessee eastbound traffic. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 MemFix 4: Replacement of Norfolk Southern, SR 57 east and westbound bridges, and repair of Park Avenue bridge over I-240.

I-240: There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 NB/SB between Quince and Walnut Grove.

The lane closures along I-240 east and westbound between Quince and Walnut Grove will stay in place throughout the project.

Wednesday, January 17 through Friday, January 19, 9PM-5AM: There will be lane closures on I-240 eastbound to set barrier rail and complete the traffic switch operations. On Thursday and Friday, the I-240 Eastbound exit to Poplar will be CLOSED to set barrier rail. Detours to be provided. There will be lane closures on I-240 westbound to mill and fill the rumble strip. Weather prohibiting closures will be moved to next available night.

Friday, January 19 and Saturday, January 20, 9PM-5AM: There will be lane closures on I-240 westbound to complete the traffic switch operation.  During the closure, there will only be one open lane of traffic on I-240 westbound. The on ramp from Poplar Avenue westbound to I-240 westbound will be CLOSED for the traffic switch operation. Detours to be provided. Weather prohibiting closures will be moved to next available night.

Sunday, January 21 through Tuesday, January 23, 9PM-5AM: There will be lane closures on I-240 eastbound to set barrier rail and complete the traffic switch operation. The I-240 eastbound exit ramp to Poplar Avenue will be CLOSED. Detours to be provided.  Weather prohibiting closures will be moved to next available night.

There will be closures on I-240 westbound to mill and fill rumble strips. Weather prohibiting closures will be moved to next available night.

Tuesday, January 23 and Wednesday, January 24, 9PM-5AM: There will be lane closures on I-240 westbound for the traffic switch operation. This closure will leave only one open lane of traffic on I-240 westbound. The I-240 westbound on ramp from Poplar Avenue westbound will be CLOSED. Detours to be provided.  Weather prohibiting closures will be moved to next available night.

SHELBY COUNTY, Eastmoreland over I-240 and on U.S. 51 (S.R. 3) over the Wolf River Saturday, January 20, 7:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m.:  There will be intermittent lane closures on U.S.51

(SR 3) at the Wolf River to allow the placement of traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

*Saturday, January 27, 7:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m.  will serve as a backup date.

Saturday, January 20 through Mid-Summer:  The bridge over I-240 at L.M. 0.36 (Eastmoreland Avenue) will be closed to perform the contracted bridge deck repair work.  Detour will be provided.  Weather permitting.

*Saturday, January 27, 7:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m. will serve as a backup date.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project.

On April 21, 2017, Old Covington Pike East access to/from SR 14 was permanently CLOSED.

*Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-175Resurfacing on SR 175 from near Elvis Presley Blvd to Swinnea will cause intermittent lane closures.

SHELBY COUNTY, - SR 385 Sign Conversion for I-269

Monday, January 22 and Tuesday, January 23, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:  There will be day time lane closures at the following various locations for drilling footing, pouring concrete, and setting I-beam supports. If weather prohibits, the repairs will be performed on Wednesday, January 24, 9AM–3PM. Weather Permitting. 

Monday, January 22 and Tuesday, January 23, 8:00 p. m.–6:00 a. m.: There will be night time closures at the following various locations to allow drilling for soil samples for the proposed overhead sign structures. If weather prohibits, the repairs will be performed on Wednesday, January 24, 8:00 p. m.–6:00 a. m. THP will assist with traffic control during night time closures. Weather Permitting.
