On June 2, 2020, Governor Bill Lee announced the use of federal Coronavirus Relief Funds to assist Tennessee small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.  Governor Lee has directed the Tennessee Department of Revenue to issue business relief payments through the Tennessee Business Relief Program to small businesses for costs incurred as a result of mandatory business closures.  The deadline to certify for a relief payment is September 30, 2020.

Please Note: An expansion to the Tennessee Business Relief Program was announced on August 13, 2020. The expanded program includes a number of additional eligible business types.  In total, more than 60 business types are eligible for the program.

 We ask eligible businesses to certify their business information on our TNTAP website. Once a business completes its certification and the department verifies eligibility, the department will issue a relief payment. These payments range from $2,500 to $30,000, depending on the amount of the business’ gross sales.

After you certify, you can check the status of your certification by clicking the Tennessee Business Relief Certification/Status link on TNTAP.

If your business is eligible, click the Tennessee Business Relief Certification/Status link on TNTAP.  After you certify, you can also check the status of your certification at the same link.  The deadline for certifying is September 30, 2020.
