TDCI Securities Division to Participate in Gibson Co. Senior Fair October 5

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance’s (TDCI) Securities Division will provide investor education and fraud prevention information at the fifth annual Gibson County Senior Fair on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Milan.

“The Tennessee Securities Division is proud to participate in this educational opportunity,” said TDCI Assistant Commissioner for Securities Frank Borger-Gilligan. “Unfortunately, senior investors are top targets for con artists. Our goal with this outreach is to equip older adults with the practical, current financial protection information needed to help them avoid both securities and insurance scams.”

WHAT:               Staff from TDCI will make a presentation highlighting ways to keep your financial information from falling into the hands of scam artists. Educational items supporting topics discussed during the presentation will also be available at TDCI’s onsite booth.
