| Description: | This 40-hour instructor-level course will address the issues of Emergency Vehicle Operations in law enforcement. The class will concentrate on vehicle dynamics, liability, pursuit management, operations of emergency and non-emergency vehicles as well as emerging issues in emergency vehicle operations. The course will address the importance of keeping accurate training records and how to incorporate relevant topics in yearly EVO training. Each student will develop and teach an event pertinent to EVO operations within their department. This course requires the satisfactory completion of all three aspects of the training: each student attending will be required to pass the precision EVO course at a specified time and without exceeding penalties, pass a written exam, and instruct an event. Students MUST pass the precision EVO course to continue with the training. Failure to meet the EVO precision course passing standard will result in dismissal from the class. |

| Materials: | Departmental EVO/ Pursuit Policies, Paper, Note Pad, Laptop (Optional), Department Vehicle (Optional), Thumb drive Bring appropriate gear for outdoor training. |
