Description The T-SAR Level 3 Rope Rescue Course is a comprehensive training program designed for emergency responders seeking to enhance their rope rescue skills. This 80-hour course is structured in two parts, combining online and hands-on instruction to provide participants with a thorough understanding of rope rescue operations. Part 1: Online Learning Participants will engage in self-paced online training that covers foundational knowledge essential for effective rope rescue. This segment includes: Awareness PowerPoints and other preparatory materials to be completed before attending the in-person training. Key Topics include: Incident Management and Assessment: Evaluating scene safety and applying incident command principles. Hazard Recognition: Identifying hazards related to rope rescue environments. Understanding Rescue Equipment: Familiarization with ropes, knots, carabiners, harnesses, and other equipment. Legal and Ethical Responsibilities: Understanding the legal implications of rescue operations.Completion of the online portion is required prior to the in-person training. Students will be furnished a link upon registration for this part of the course.Part 2: In-Person Training This segment focuses on practical skills needed for team-based low-angle and high-angle rescue operations. The in-person training includes both classroom instruction and hands-on field exercises:The T-SAR Level 3 Rope Rescue Course equips emergency responders with the essential skills and knowledge required to perform effective and safe rope rescues. Through a combination of online learning and practical training, participants will be prepared to respond to a variety of rescue situations confidently.

All Other State Agencies - $325
Out of State Agencies - $650

Prerequisites Part 1 Self-Paced On-Line must be completed in order to attend Part 2
