CORE for Captives

Comprehensive Online Regulatory & Enforcement System (“CORE”)

The Department of Commerce and Insurance has expanded its online services to the Captive Insurance Section. This service is known as the Comprehensive Online Regulatory & Enforcement System (“CORE”). CORE is an online platform that provides Tennessee service providers and other industry stakeholders with access to submit applications, regular filings, and requests to the Department.  

What CORE Offers

With CORE you will be able to easily process the following filings and requests for our captive companies: 

• Captive Application
• Annual Statement Filing
  
• Audited Financial Statement
  
• Audit Extension
  
• Change of Business Plan
  
• Dividend/Distribution
  
• Affiliate Transactions, such as Loans or Investments
  
• Change in Capitalization Agreement 
  
• Certificate of Compliance
  
• Dormancy 

How to get Set up for Success in CORE 

Some industry stakeholders, such as CPAs, may already have CORE accounts used for your professional license. For others, this will be your first time using CORE. CORE can be accessed by clicking, or navigating to, the link provided below: CORE.TN.Gov

Once you have created your account, please send your User ID via the information provided below, and we will update your account with the appropriate company information.
