About the Subterranean Transportation Infrastructure Coordination Authority

The Authority was established according to 2026 Public Chapter No. 854, and held its first meeting called by the Governor on September 9, 2026.

As a part of the Subterranean Infrastructure Coordination Act, the Subterranean Transportation Infrastructure Coordination Authority was created on July 1, 2026. The authority is an instrumentality of this state and exercises only the powers provided in this chapter. The authority is created for the purpose of resolving disputes, hearing appeals, and exercising the powers necessary to facilitate the construction, operation, and maintenance of a transit project in accordance with this chapter. (65-13-702). The authority is governed by a board of directors. The board consists of nine (9) voting members and three (3) ex officio, non-voting members.
