Consumer Affairs Joins Other National, State Groups at Roundtable Event

NASHVILLE – Learning to recognize, prevent and report fraud will be discussed by representatives of the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance’s (TDCI) Division of Consumer Affairs, the U.S.
Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and other state and local agencies during a roundtable event with news media and community members in Nashville on Thursday, March 5, 2018.

Who: Representatives from TDCI, FTC, the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office, the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee & the Cumberlands, and the BBB of Middle Tennessee, among others.  

When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, March, 15, 2018.

Where: Nashville Public Library, Southeast Branch 5260 Hickory Hollow Parkway, Ste. 201,
Antioch, Tennessee 37013.

Why: Representatives and community advocates will discuss how Nashville communities,
including its immigrant population, can learn to recognize fraud such as fake services and products including housing, health and debt collection.
