TDCI Consumer Affairs & Williamson Co. Legislators Offer June 26 Consumer Protection Event in Franklin
NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance’s (TDCI) Division of Consumer Affairs will partner with the Williamson County delegation of the Tennessee General Assembly on Monday, June 26, 2017, to host a consumer identity protection event at Brookdale Senior Living Center in Franklin.
Area residents are encouraged to attend the free event to learn ways to protect their personal information from falling into the hands of scammers and identity thieves.
“Financial exploitation and abuse are growing problems in our country and across Tennessee,” said House Majority Leader Rep. Glen Casada. “As a legislature, we must do all we can to combat this practice and crack down on those who break our laws. We all look forward to this community meeting and hearing from the Department of Commerce and Insurance next week.”
