Consumer Affairs & Rep. Eldridge Host Feb. 17 Outreach Event in Jackson

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Rep. Jimmy Eldridge (R-Jackson) is partnering with the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance’s (TDCI) Division of Consumer Affairs on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 to host a free consumer protection event at Elmcroft of Jackson.

“With scam artists becoming more sophisticated and unscrupulous, it is more important now than ever that consumers protect their personal and financial information in order to ensure they don’t become victims,” said Eldridge. “I support the work of the Tennessee Division of Consumer Affairs who help protect consumers of all ages and walks of life with these outreach events.”

TDCI’s Consumer Affairs team will offer tips, role-playing scenarios to help consumers avoid scams, and give out free educational information to help consumers avoid being a scammer’s target.
