TDCI Securities Division Revokes License of Franklin Securities Broker-Dealer

NASHVILLE –The Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance’s (TDCI) Securities Division announces disciplinary action against a broker-dealer agent convicted of theft. Franklin, Tenn. resident Anthony Dean Myers, Sr. pleaded guilty to the theft of property over $60,000 or more, a Class B felony that warrants revocation of his securities registration.

In addition to the revocation, Myers, Sr. was fined a $1,000 civil penalty. He is permanently barred from any conduct as a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or investment adviser representative, and is banned from conducting securities transactions on behalf of others from, in, or into the State of Tennessee. 

“We are committed to protecting Tennesseans investors from financial predators,” said TDCI Assistant Commissioner for Securities Frank Borger-Gilligan. “The Securities Division will continue to take action against agents who violate the trust of their clients. Unlawful and unethical conduct will not be tolerated. ”
