State Election Commission Hears Common Cause Request
(Posted 10/26/2009)
Shortly before the regularly scheduled State Election Commission meeting on October 20, 2009, Dick Williams of Common Cause distributed a letter to Coordinator Mark Goins questioning the wording of the minutes from July 21, 2009. Furthermore, Mr. Williams requested his letter be made part of the record. Chairman Wallace requested the playing of the tape from the July 21, 2009 meeting. The State Election Commission decided that the playing of the July 21, 2009 tape confirms the original minutes were correct. Motion was made, seconded, and unanimously approved to: 1) include Mr. Williams’ letter in the October minutes and, 2) for clarification, transcribe Mr. Williams’ words from the July 21, 2009 meeting tape to also include in the October minutes.
