Purpose
The Auctioneer Commission licenses and regulates affiliate auctioneers, principal auctioneers, and public automobile auctions. The commission reviews the professional education of licensees, ensures an escrow is held to protect the public and enforces professional conduct.
Mission
The mission of the Tennessee Auctioneer Commission is to is to protect the public health, safety and welfare through regulation of affiliate auctioneers, principal auctioneers and public automobile auctions.
Announcement
The Tennessee Auctioneer Commission is no longer enjoined from regulating online auctions. Please consult Tenn. Code Ann. § 62-19-103 and Tenn. Comp. R. & Regs. 0160-01-.18 for licensing requirements and exemptions.
