A Second Chance Month Celebration and Resource Fair will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (EDT) at the Knoxville American Job Center, located at 2700 Middlebrook Pike in Knoxville, Tennessee.
This event is being organized by the Tennessee Office of Reentry. The resource and hiring fair is for justice-involved individuals and members of the community who are looking for employment and community support. It will bring together representatives from community-based non-profit organizations, non-governmental organizations, and state agencies that offer services to help justice-involved individuals successfully return to living in our communities. Second Chance employers who work with justice-involved individuals will be available to meet prospective employees. Attendees can also meet with stakeholders who work to help justice-involved individuals successfully transition back into communities across Tennessee.
Participation in this event is free and open to the public.
Individuals interested in participating in the Second Chance Month Resource and Job Fairs are encouraged to register before the event through the Eventbrite link. Click here to register for Knoxville event.
A brief program with remarks from state and community leaders will take place at noon. Representatives from the American Job Center will also be present to facilitate connections between second-chance employers and job seekers.
