Closure Alert: Winchester City Park Boat Ramp Closed Due to Renovations

WINCHESTER, Tenn. --- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) has closed the boat ramp at Winchester City Park for renovations. All work is due to be completed by mid-March 2026.

As part of the Bill Dance Signature Lakes project, TWRA engineering crews will be removing all existing structures to make way for improvements, including:  

• installing a sixty-foot-wide ramp,

• replacing docks with all aluminum docks, and

• armoring to protect the shoreline and ramp.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is responsible for protecting, managing, and conserving fish and wildlife species for the benefit of Tennesseans and visitors. The Agency also maintains public safety through law enforcement and safety education on waterways.
