Personal Income Per Capita
Higher earnings for Tennessee residents increases disposable income for Tennesseans and creates economic prosperity in Tennessee communities. The dashboard below demonstrates the personal income per capita for all 95 counties of Tennessee and for all 12 states of the Southeast. Personal income per capita is calculated as the total personal income of a region's residents divided by the region's population.
Long-Term Objective: Tennessee’s personal income per capita will be among the top two states in the Southeast by 2025.
