Electronic Transcript Exchange and Data Services for High Schools and Colleges through THEC
High schools and higher education institutions can send electronic transcripts through an updated service
All Tennessee high schools can now send electronic transcripts of current or recent students. The Electronic Transcript Exchange, from the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC), is available for use in all 129 high school districts and 432 public high schools and all Tennessee higher education institutions. The Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) will also provide data through the exchange. Schools can participate by joining the new Tennessee Electronic Transcript Exchange.
The Electronic Transcript Exchange provides a means for Tennessee high schools to submit transcript data to higher education institutions within the state for admissions purposes and to TSAC for Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship (TELS) eligibility determination. Beginning in the 2016-17 school year, the State of Tennessee transitioned to the National Student Clearinghouse as its new electronic transcript exchange vendor. The Clearinghouse is a nonprofit and the largest provider of electronic transcript services in the United States.
