This course will cover the most basic of survey operations: Importing and reviewing survey data collected in the field. We will start with setting up a project seed file with the proper geographical coordinate system and then show several methods for importing survey data. This course will cover how to create a terrain model from point cloud data. You will learn how to attach point cloud data, view the point cloud data, create the terrain model from the point cloud data and also how to add breaklines to the point cloud terrain model.     In this exercise, you will learn how to add breaklines to the point cloud terrain model. We will begin by attaching     raster imagery files. This file and the already attached survey data will be used as guide to draw SmartLines along     the existing pavement, shoulders and median ditch. These lines will represent breaklines that will be added to the     point cloud terrain model.

    Many times it is necessary to supplement the point cloud data with field survey data by merging the two together     to form a single combined terrain model. The objective of this course is to teach tools and techniques that can be used for developing Right of Way Plans on roadway projects. Come explore Georeferenced Coordinate Systems and the LiDAR tools under the reality modeling tab in OpenRoads Designer.
