Transportation projects are developed in four phases: Planning and Environmental, Design, Right-of-Way (ROW), and Construction. The proposed improvements for State Route 18, from SR 100 in Hardeman County to SR 5 in Madison County, are currently in the Design phase. The following is a reflection of various aspects of the development phases as they have occurred or will occur on this project.
