State Route 109 - US 70 to Cumberland River

Transportation projects are developed in three phases: Preliminary Engineering, Right-of-Way (ROW) and Construction. The proposed improvements for State Route 109, between US 70 and the Cumberland River, are currently under construction.

JULY 2020 UPDATE: TDOT and the contractor are currently in negotiations regarding a time extension due to previous utility delays on the project. Widening work is still underway as negotiations continue. At this time, TDOT anticipates construction will continue through late 2021. Once an agreement has been reached regarding the time extension, a new schedule will be provided.

All scheduled phases are TENTATIVE, dependent on weather and project progress.
