Public Involvement

SCHEDULED MEETINGS

A series of Public Meetings were held March 16 and 18, 2021 as part of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process. Due to concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, the meetings were hosted online using Zoom software. The purpose of the meetings is to provide an update and gather public input on the proposed improvements and identified environmental impacts for State Route 29 (US 27) between Wolf Creek Road and State Route 63 in Scott County.

Printed copies can be obtained and design displays can be viewed between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. EST at the Scott County Mayor’s Office, 2845 Baker Highway, Huntsville, Tennessee 37756.

Comments

Public comments on the proposed project will be accepted via phone, mail, or email. A pre-addressed comment card can be downloaded to print and mail or submit electronically, if desired. (Click on link to view comment card.)

The deadline to submit comments is May 3, 2021.

If you have a question that needs to be answered before submitting your official comment, call (833) 726-8826 (toll free) and leave a message with your name, phone number, and question. Your call will be returned by a TDOT representative within seven business days. All questions must be received by April 15, 2021, to allow TDOT time to respond within the comment period.
