Transportation projects are developed in four phases: Planning and Environmental, Design, Right-of-Way (ROW) and Construction. Improvements to State Route 93, between I-81 and SR 347 (Lone Star Road), consist of three sections. Below is a reflection of each project phase as they have occurred or will occur for each section of SR 93.

NOTE: During the ROW phase, TDOT contracts with independent licensed appraisers to appraise affected property within the project limits. Prior to acquisition, TDOT staff will hold a ROW meeting with affected property owners to discuss the process and answer any questions. The timeframe for the ROW phase can vary from one project to another depending upon the number of properties affected.
