DISTRICT 27

CUMBERLAND COUNTY I-40 Construction of a truck climbing lane EB near MM 339, including grading, drainage, and paving: Construction signs, guardrail (westbound), and portable barrier rail (eastbound) have been installed. The contractor has begun grade work in the median behind portable barrier rail. Motorists are encouraged to slow down, use caution, and be aware of construction personnel in the work zone and equipment that will be entering/exiting the roadway. Estimated project completion date is June 2020.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-1 (US-70) Emergency slope stabilization near LM 26.6: Construction signs, portable barrier rail, and temporary traffic signals have been installed. SR-1 (US-70) will be reduced to one lane of traffic between Godsey Road and Renegade Mountain Parkway while slope stabilization is in process. Motorists should exercise caution and pay attention to temporary traffic signals as they travel through the work zone.  Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-101 (Peavine Road) Grading, drainage, and paving from Firetower Road to Westchester/Catoosa Boulevard: As grade work progresses, motorists should be alert for shifts in traffic patterns to allow for construction activities. Traffic has been shifted from Lakeview Drive to past Woodgate Circle with the existing Peavine Road serving as a frontage road to access businesses in that area. The posted speed limit has been reduced from 45 MPH to 35 MPH within the work zone. Temporary lane closures and traffic stoppages may be needed to support paving and other activities. Motorists should reduce speed on Peavine Road and be alert for construction personnel/equipment entering and exiting the roadway.  Estimated project completion date is November 2020.

DEKALB COUNTY SR-96 USACE Dam restoration project from LM 12.5 to LM 13.5: One lane is closed and traffic is being controlled by a temporary signal due to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dam restoration work. Motorists should exercise caution as they travel through the work zone. Estimated project completion date is June 2020.

DEKALB AND WARREN COUNTY SR-56 Construction of bridges and paving from south of Warren-DeKalb County (LM 24.5) line to East Bryant St (LM 2.9): The contractor has begun construction on the first two concrete box culverts. The contractor has started grade work and utility work on the new roadway alignment. Traffic is still using the existing SR-56. However motorists are advised to use caution and watch for construction equipment adjacent to roadway. Flaggers may be present while equipment is off-loaded or crossing the roadway.  Estimated project completion date is May 2022.

FENTRESS COUNTY Rotten Fork Road over Rotten Fork of the Wolf River Bridge Replacement: The contractor is currently working on the new bridge at Rotten Fork Road at LM 0.135. Rotten Fork Road remains open to traffic while the new bridge is being constructed. The contractor is performing grade work at the beginning of Rotten Fork Road to construct the new roadway alignment so an alternate traffic pattern is in place. Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for construction equipment adjacent to roadway. Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

FENTRESS COUNTY Vines Ridge Road over Big Laurel Creek Bridge Replacement: Vines Ridge Road remains closed at LM 1.06 and will remain closed until the new bridge is constructed and in place. Approximate date for the length of closure is 11/30/19. Motorists should seek alternate route around Vines Ridge Road near the location of construction. Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

FENTRESS AND OVERTON COUNTY SR-85 Emergency slide repairs at various locations: The roadway is closed from LM 18.4 to LM 22.4 in Overton county. SR-85 will be opened to one lane of traffic in Fentress County between LM 3.50 to 8.00. The contractor is continuing work on this contract in the two areas listed above. The contractor has installed temporary traffic signals and will use portable barrier rail where the roadway will be shut down to one lane allowing traffic to flow through the work zone. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and seek alternate routes. RESTRICTIONS: Loads wider than 10' should seek alternate route. Estimated project completion date is January 2020.

OVERTON COUNTY Utility Work on SR-85 (HILHAM HWY.) in both directions from LM 10.2 to LM 11.1: Flaggers will be present as workers perform overhead work along Hilham Hwy between Windle Community Rd to near the intersection with West Main St. One lane will remain open, motorists should be prepared to stop for short delays from 11/07/19 through 11/29/19 between 9 AM and 2 PM.

OVERTON COUNTY SR-111 Miscellaneous safety improvements at the intersections of SR-293 (LM 3.1 and LM 3.2): The contractor currently has SR-111 from the LM 2.25 to the 3.75 reduced to one lane in each direction. This lane closure will remain until approximately 11/22/19. In addition to the lane closure, the speed limit through the work zone has been decreased to 55 MPH for the safety of the motoring public and the contractor's personnel. SR-293 is affected at the intersection of SR-111 with the median crossings being closed for the duration of the project. Motorists are encouraged to obey 55 MPH speed limit and watch for construction operations adjacent to the roadway. RESTRICTIONS: Loads wider than 14' should seek alternate route. Estimated project completion date is December 2019.

OVERTON COUNTY SR-294 Bridge repair over Big Eagle Creek (LM 1.39): The contractor has placed barrier rail and has the roadway reduced to one lane. The roadway will remain reduced to one lane until contract completion scheduled for 06/15/20. During this time, a temporary traffic signal will be in operation to allow traffic to flow through the work zone. Motorists should use caution through the work zone, obey posted speed limit, and be prepared to stop at the traffic signal. RESTRICTIONS: No loads wider than 10 feet. Estimated project completion date is June 2020.

PUTNAM COUNTY Utility Work on SR-135 (S. WILLOW AVE.) in both directions from LM 8.6 to LM 9.4: Signage and flaggers will be present for overhead work along S. Willow Ave between State St and Orchard St and between Humble Rd and Interstate Dr. The speed limit will be reduced, motorists should use caution and be aware of personnel and equipment from 11/12/19 through 11/15/19 between 9 AM and 2 PM.

PUTNAM COUNTY Utility Work on SR-136 (N. WASHINGTON AVE.) in both directions from LM 4.3 to LM 4.5: Signage and flaggers will be present for overhead work along N. Washington Ave between East 1st St and East 4th St. The speed limit will be reduced and motorists should use caution/be aware of personnel and equipment from 11/14/19 through 11/15/19 between 9 am and 2 pm.

PUTNAM COUNTY SR-136 Resurfacing from US-70N (SR-24) (LM 4.15) to north of Whiteaker Springs Road (LM 7): Work will be performed on existing sidewalks and concrete curb ramps. This will result in lane closures each night on SR-136 between the hours of 7 PM and 6 AM. Motorists should use caution and be prepared for slowed traffic when traveling through the workzone.  Estimated project completion date is June 2020.

WHITE COUNTY SR-1 (US-70) Repair of the bridge over the Calfkiller River (LM 9.35) in Sparta: Calfkiller bridge in Sparta is in the third of the three phases of lane closures. These phases will affect between Wilson Street and Church Street. This third phase will restrict both directions of traffic to one lane in each direction. Workers will be working on the eastbound side of the bridge. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution and be alert to all construction signage while traveling through the work zone.  Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

BLEDSOE COUNTY SR-101 bridge repair over Bee Creek (LM 8.98): Work on this project is complete and the road is open to traffic. The contractor will be on site removing equipment and cleaning up the site. Occasionally the road will be reduced to one lane controlled by a flagging operation while equipment is being removed. Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

BLEDSOE COUNTY SR-28 slope stabilization in Bledsoe County near LM 28.8: The contractor is working on SR-28 north from mile marker 28.7 to 28.9. The roadway will be reduced to one lane controlled by a traffic signal. Large trucks heading South on SR-28 down the mountain are encouraged to use extreme caution.  Estimated project completion date is April 2020.

BLEDSOE AND SEQUATCHIE COUNTY SR-8 (US-127) from SR-28 (LM 14.9) to SR-111 then SR-28 (US-127) to south of Old York Hwy North (LM 7.9), SR-8 (US-127) from SR-28 (US-127)(LM 14.9) to SR-111 (LM 17.6), and SR-30 from SR-28 (US-127)(LM 10.3) to near Cherokee Ridge Road (LM 13.3) resurfacing: During construction, motorists are encouraged to use caution and watch for construction equipment and personnel in the roadway. The contractor will be working on the sidewalks through the downtown area. Pedestrians are encouraged to use caution when walking in the area and avoid the areas of construction if at all possible.  Estimated project completion date is June 2020.

COFFEE COUNTY SR-2 (US-41) Resurfacing from the Rutherford County Line (LM 0.0) to east of Country Club Drive (LM 12.6): Weather permitting, paving installation will continue 7 days a week from 6AM - 6PM. Motorists are encouraged to slow down, use caution, and be aware of construction personnel in the work zone and equipment that will be entering/exiting the roadway. Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

FRANKLIN COUNTY Utility Work on SR-130 (OLD TULLAHOMA RD.) northbound from LM 12.8 to LM 13.1: A single lane closure will occur along Phillip Fulmer Parkway between N. High St. and Old Estill Springs Rd. Motorists should reduce speed and be aware of the mobile work zone as crews transition along the route from 9 AM - 3 PM, estimated completion date is 11/20/19.

FRANKLIN COUNTY SR-16 (US-41A) Resurfacing from the Coffee County line (LM 0.0) to north of UTSI Road (LM 4.4): The contractor will be placing shoulder stone and scoring shoulders followed by the installation of thermo pavement markings. Work will take place Mondays thru Saturdays from 7AM - 6PM. The road will be reduced to one lane in each direction, keeping one lane of travel open at all times in both directions. Motorists are encouraged to slow down, use caution, and be aware of construction personnel in the work zone and equipment that will be entering/exiting the roadway.  Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

GRUNDY COUNTY I-24 (MM 127) the repair of the SR-50 bridge over I-24: This project is substantially complete with pending final inspection. There will be no lane closures at this time and all travel lanes open.  Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

GRUNDY COUNTY Utility Work on SR-108 (HWY. 108) in both directions from LM 4.3 to LM 5.8: Intermittent lane closures will occur as crews transition the work zone between Fish Branch Rd and Mt. Olive Rd. Signage and flaggers will be present. Motorists should use caution. Work will take place between 9 AM - 3 PM with an estimated completion date of 11/15/19.

GRUNDY COUNTY Utility Work on SR-56 (US-41) in both directions from LM 4.7 to LM 5.0: Intermittent lane closures will occur as crews transition the work zone between 3rd St and Oak St. Signage and flaggers will be present. Motorists are encouraged to use caution. Work will take place between 9 am and 3 pm with an estimated completion date of 11/15/19.

MARION COUNTY SR-2 (US-64, US-72, US-41) Emergency slope stabilization between LM 25.20 and LM 26.40: Work continues on this project. The contractor will continue to maintain one lane of travel with the restriction of all wide loads. At this time, traffic signals are installed and will remain in place until the project is complete. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and be alert to construction personnel and equipment. RESTRICTIONS: The restriction of all wide loads will remain in place until the project is complete.

WARREN COUNTY SR-288 Construction of a concrete bulb-tee beam bridge over Collins River (LM 4.97), including grading, drainage and paving: The bridge is currently reduced to one 10.5-foot lane to allow the contractor to construct the new bridge. While the bridge is down to one lane, traffic will be maintained and controlled by a temporary signal. Motorists should expect periodic delays and use caution in the work zone. RESTRICTIONS: 10.5 foot lane. Estimated project completion date is December 2019.

DISTRICT 29

HAMILTON COUNTY I-75 at I-24 Interchange Reconstruction: Phase 1 traffic shifts have been implemented. Traffic should expect multiple lane shifts traveling through the interchange. Lane closures will occur Sunday nights through Thursdays night between 9 PM and 6 AM at the following locations: I-75 NB at state line, I-75 NB MM 2, I-75 SB MM 3, I-75 SB MM 1, I-24 EB MM 185. Additionally, shoulders may be closed at various locations between 9 AM and 3 PM for access to the median and roadside areas. The speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH throughout the interchange.

HAMILTON COUNTY US-27 (I-124) Widening from I-24/US-27 interchange to north of the Olgiati Bridge over the Tennessee River, including widening the Olgiati Bridge: Work on this project continues with activities occurring on the west side of southbound US-27. Motorists should be alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the area along the access ramps for eastbound and westbound MLK Blvd. In addition, the southbound ramp from W. Main St.to southbound US-27 has been temporarily closed and will remain so until further notice. Motorists should pay close attention to the detour and speed limit signage posted. Weather permitting; the contractor may implement temporary lane/shoulder closures on weeknights between the hours of 7PM and 6AM. At least one lane will remain open in each direction on US-27. Beginning at 9AM EST on 11/18/19, the contractor will open a newly-constructed ramp from MLK Blvd. West to US-27 South. After the ramp is opened, traffic wishing to access US-27 South from MLK Blvd. West must take a left turn onto the new ramp. Traffic signals will be in place to allow traffic from MLK West to access the new ramp. The loop ramp currently in use from MLK Blvd. West to US-27 South will be permanently closed after the newly-constructed ramp is opened to traffic. All other traffic movements in the work zone will remain the same. Message boards and advance warning signs will be present on 11/17/19 between 4 AM and 5 AM.

HAMILTON COUNTY Utility Work on SR-153 (STATE HWY. 153) in both directions from LM 8 to LM 12.4: Intermittent lane closures will occur as crews transition from near Boy Scout Rd to Dupont Pkwy for overhead work. Signage and flaggers will be present. Motorists should reduce speed and be aware of equipment and personnel. Short delays may occur between 9 AM - 2 PM, estimated completion date is 11/20/19.

HAMILTON COUNTY Utility Work on SR-2 (BRAINERD RD.) in both directions from LM 13.8 to LM 15.3: Arrow boards, signage and flaggers will be present on Brainerd Rd/Lee Hwy between Moore Rd to East Brainerd Rd for utility work. Both eastbound and westbound lanes will be affected nightly between 8 PM and 6 AM from 11/18/19 through 11/26/19.

HAMILTON COUNTY Utility Work on SR-319 (DUPONT PKWY.) southbound from LM 1.9 to LM 2.4: A night time southbound lane closure will occur along Dupont Parkway and CB Robinson Bridge. Arrow boards, signage and barrels will present. Motorists should reduce speed and use caution through the area. Work will take place between 9 PM and 5 AM with an estimated completion date of 11/24/19.

HAMILTON COUNTY Utility Work on SR-8 (CHEROKEE BLVD.) in both directions from LM 10.4 to LM 10.6: Single lane closures of northbound and southbound lanes will occur between Minor St and Spring St. Arrow boards, barrels and signage will be present. motorists should seek alternate route for West Manning St/Harper St between 9 AM and 2 PM, estimated completion date is 11/26/19.

HAMILTON COUNTY SR-111 Repair of bridge over SR-29 (US-27): During this report period, the contractor will have one lane closed in each direction of SR-111 while performing bridge repairs. The contractor will also be closing one lane in each direction on SR-29 as it passes under SR-111. One lane in each direction will remain open at all times. The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be present to assist with traffic control.  Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

[Mid-State Construction Company, Inc./Osbonlighter/CNT096]

HAMILTON COUNTY Cleaning of the McCallie Tunnel on SR-2 (US-64, US-11), the Stringers Ridge Tunnel on SR-8 (US-127), and the Bachman Tubes on SR-8 (US-76, US-41): The McCallie tunnels will be cleaned Wednesday, 11/20/19 (8 PM - 6 AM) under a flagging operation, allowing only one-way traffic alternately. The Stringer's Ridge tunnel will also be cleaned later that night using a signed detour. Estimated project completion date is June 2020.

HAMILTON COUNTY SR-153 Resurfacing from north of Shallowford Road (LM 2.6) to north of SR-58 (LM 4.8), including bridge deck repair: Construction operations will continue Sunday through Thursday during this reporting period. All work will take place between 8 PM to 6 AM and could involve double lane closures in either the NB or SB direction. At least one lane will remain open in each direction during the construction activity.  Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

MCMINN COUNTY SR-30, Grading, drainage and paving on SR-30 from Jackson Street to east of Knight Road in Athens: Traffic along SR-30 is in its phase two configuration with all traffic on the former eastbound side, providing one lane in each direction plus turning lanes at critical intersections and businesses. The intersection of SR-39/SR-30 has changed to a different configuration and will likely be paved 11/18/19. The traveling public should be alert.  Estimated project completion date is April 2020.

MCMINN COUNTY SR-39 Resurfacing from South Jackson Street (LM 9.4) to east of Old Athens Englewood Road (LM 12.3): Work on this project is complete pending punchlist items. The contractor may have intermittent lane closures Monday to Friday 9 AM to 4 PM to work on those items. Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

MEIGS COUNTY SR-58 Repair of bridge over Hiwassee River (LM 5.22): During this report period, the contractor will have roadway reduced to one lane controlled by temporary traffic signals. Additional flaggers will be on site as needed. Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

POLK COUNTY TDOT Slope Stabilization on SR-30 both directions at LM 13.5: Roadway was open to both lanes of traffic on 11-6-19. All construction signs were removed on 11-6-19. Raised pavement markings will be installed once they arrive from the vendor.

POLK COUNTY SR-40 (US-64) Repair of bridges over North Potato Creek (LM 26.93): During this reporting period, the contractor will be making repairs to the right shoulder of the eastbound lanes and concrete repairs on the westbound bridge. Traffic on US-64 will be reduced to one lane in each direction for the duration of this work. Motorists are advised to reduce speed in the work zone due to reduced lane widths and watch for trucks entering or leaving the highway. RESTRICTIONS: No loads wider than 12 ft. are allowed at LM 26.93 eastbound and westbound. Estimated project completion date is April 2020.

RHEA COUNTY TDOT Slope Stabilization on SR-68 (WASSOM MEMORIAL HIGHWAY) in both directions at LM 5.5: The roadway is reduced to one lane and signalized 24/7 due to roadway settlement. The slope repair contractor has begun work on permanent repairs.

RHEA COUNTY SR-29 (US-27) Resurfacing from north of SR-60 (4.9) to Landes Way (6.5) including bridge repair: There will be night time lane closures supporting paving operations along SR-29. Work will happen Saturday through Thursday (7 PM to 6 AM) during this reporting period. Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

RHEA COUNTY SR-30 Grading, drainage and paving from west of New Union Road/White Oak Road (LM 12.6) to Sky Drive (LM 12.9): During this report period, the contractor will be performing grading and drainage operations along SR-30 and New Union Road During the initial phase, traffic will be maintained on SR-30, White Oak Drive, and New Union Road in its current pattern. Flaggers will be on-site to assist with heavy equipment entering and exiting existing roadways.  Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

REGION 2 TDOT Maintenance drainage work: There will be possible short-term lane and shoulder closures at various locations in Region 2 in order to clean rock and debris from ditches on an as-needed basis. One lane will be maintained at all times.

REGION 2 TDOT Maintenance pothole repair and pavement patching: There will be possible short-term emergency lane closures at various locations in Region 2 in order to repair potholes and patch pavement on an as-needed basis. Depending on location and severity these repairs may be done during the day or at night. In addition to performing the work, regional Operations crews will also provide traffic control.

REGION 2 Preventative and unscheduled maintenance of Chattanooga SmartWay Intelligent Transportation System: The contractor may have short term shoulder and/or lane closures in order to perform preventative or unscheduled maintenance to the local SmartWay Intelligent Transportation System. Work hours are 9 AM to 3:30 PM. At least one travel lane will remain open to traffic at all times. Flaggers will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is February 2020.

REGION 2 On-call guardrail repair and new guardrail installation on various Interstate and State Routes: The contractor may have short term shoulder and/or lane closures in order to perform guardrail repair. These closures will take place on the interstate nightly from 7 PM to 6 AM Sundays through Thursdays and daily on state routes. At least one travel lane will remain open to traffic at all times on the interstate, and flaggers will be present on state routes during any work that is performed.  Estimated project completion date is June 2020.

REGION 2 On-call cable barrier repair on various interstate and state routes: The contractor may have short term shoulder closures in order to perform cable rail repair. Both travel lanes will remain open to traffic at all times on the interstate during any work that is performed. Estimated project completion date is December 2019.

REGION 2 Random on-call signing on various interstate and state routes: Beginning Monday November 18 the contractor will be installing footings for signs at various locations in Putnam, McMinn, Grundy, Marion, White, and Meigs Counties. This work will be done with shoulder closures and will not impact traffic. Advanced warning signs and a truck mounted attenuator with message board will be on site. Estimated project completion date is June 2020.

REGION 2 Sweeping and drain cleaning on various interstate and state routes: There will be a sweeping activity (Sunday through Thursday, 8 PM to 6 AM) on regional interstates and selected state routes. This will be supported by a mobile lane closure operation. Estimated project completion date is February 2020.

REGION 2 The crack sealing at various locations on various State Routes: The contractor will continue the crack sealing process on various state routes in the following Counties: Bledsoe, Franklin, Grundy, Hamilton, Polk, Sequatchie, Van Buren, and Warren. The contractor will be working 7 days per week from 6AM – 7PM. The progress work will be supported by mobile lane closures as crews transition the work zones along state routes for sealant work. Signage and flaggers will be present during this work. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and be alert to construction personnel and equipment. Estimated project completion date is December 2019.
