District 47 - West TN - Northern

BENTON COUNTY, I-40 Truck Climbing Lane: Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone. *Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH. Beginning Wednesday, April 11, 2018; ramp work will include a lane shift on the westbound ramp.

BENTON COUNTY, I-40 near Tennessee River Bridge MM 133.0-134.0
Tuesday, April 17 and Wednesday, April 18, 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.:
There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 eastbound (Tuesday) and westbound (Wednesday) for routine bridge inspection. Weather permitting.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 104: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of a bridge on SR 104 over Mill Creek. Roadway is CLOSED for duration of project.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 423: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete I-beam bridge on SR 423 over Clear Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.
Restrictions: Monday, February 12,
a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in with a 10’ lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-3/US-51: Repair of bridges over South Fork Forked Deer River. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20: Repair of bridges over North Fork Forked Deer River. Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction.
*Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: The grading, drainage, construction of bridges, retaining wall and paving on SR 54 from near Rison Street to near Smith Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-78: Construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee bridge on SR 78 over drainage ditch including grading, drainage, and paving will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Restrictions: Beginning Tuesday, August 1 through November 30, 2018, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 9’ lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, Future I-69: Grading, drainage, construction of eight bridges on future I-69 from south of US 51 (SR 3) to south of US 45W (SR 5) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 (SR 3) portion of the project. The inside southbound lane on SR 3 is closed to all traffic for installation of barrier rail.
Restrictions: Tuesday, June 13, 2017 SR 3 has a lane shift in the north and southbound directions. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’ 6” lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, SR-5: Installation of signals on US-45W (SR 5) at the intersection of Jackson Street in Union City.

District 48 - West TN – Middle/Southern

CROCKETT COUNTY, SR 76: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of bridges on SR 76 over Cypress Creek and overflow. Beginning February 7, 2018, temporary signals will be utilized.
Restriction: There will be a 12’ width restriction in place. Traffic reduced to one lane.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR 69:  Beginning February 7, 2018 there will be a lane closure on SR 69 to repair the bridge over Lick Creek. Temporary signals will be in use.
Restriction: There will be a 12’ width restriction in place.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR 20:  The repair of a bridge on US 412 (SR 20) over the Tennessee River.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.
Wednesday, April 11, through Wednesday, April 18: There are no scheduled closures.

LOOK AHEAD:
Friday, April 20, 8:00 p.m. through Monday, April 23, 6:00 a.m.:
Traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-40 in both the east and westbound directions. I-40 westbound traffic will then be shifted to the eastbound lanes in the crossover areas. This will allow the contractor to set beams over the westbound lanes. The speed limit has been reduced to 60MPH. Weather Permitting.
Restriction
: There will be a 16’ width restriction in place.

Friday, April 27, 8:00 p.m. through Monday, April 30, 6:00 a.m.: Traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-40 in each direction from MM 27.0 -31.0. Traffic will then be shifted using median crossovers for construction of the new SR-196 bridge. Speed limit will be reduced to 60MPH. Weather Permitting. Restriction: There will be a 16’ width restriction in place.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-100: The improvement of the intersection on SR 100 at the intersection of SR 138 (LM 11.74) in Toone. Includes grading, drainage, and paving.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128:  The grading, drainage, and paving on SR 128 from south of One Stop Drive to south of Opel Loop. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways

HAYWOOD COUNTY-SR-19 (Brownsville Bypass): A widening project on SR 19 from west of Windrow Road to SR 76 south of Brownsville will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY–SR-76: Construction of a concrete bulb tee beam bridge over the Hatchie River – Wednesday, May 3, 2017 SR 76 CLOSED approx. 1 mile south of the I-40/Exit 56 interchange for removal of the truss bridge. *Local traffic will have access up to the bridge. An interstate detour will be posted at Exit 56 and Exit 52 (Stanton/KoKo Road).

MADISON COUNTY, -I-40 from MM 82.0 to MM 88.0
Wednesday April 11, through Friday, April 13, 8:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m. (Thursday, April 12, only working until noon):
There will be temporary lane closures on I-40 east & westbound between MM 82.0 and MM 88.0, to obtain core samples.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 (US45 Bypass) and I-40: Interchange improvements on SR 186 (US 45) north and southbound from the I-40 ramps (LM 2.83) to Old Hickory Blvd (LM 3.33) for paving and construction of retaining walls.  Widening of I-40 from just east of Exit 79 to just east of Exit 82.

Saturday, April 14, 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.: I-40 will have one lane closed from mm79 to mm81 in both directions. Back up date Sunday, April 15.

Sunday, April 22, 5:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.:
Close and detour I-40 east and west bound onto existing ramps at Exit 80 (Hwy 45 Bypass). Close and detour Hwy 45 Bypass north and south bound at interchange. Back up date Sunday, April 29

TDOT REGION 4: On-Call Pavement Markings:

Sunday, April 15, through Thursday, April 19, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to replace Snowplowable Pavement Markers.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

  • SR 3 north and southbound from MM 0.00-28.15.
  • SR 175 east and westbound from MM 15.70-21.80.

TDOT REGION 4: On-Call Guardrail Repair/Concrete Barrier Rail Repair:
Wednesday, April 11, and Thursday, April 12, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.:
There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

Wednesday, April 11, through Wednesday, April 18, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to repair pavement on an as needed basis.

Wednesday, April 11, 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be temporary closures on I-40 east and west bound from MM 44-67 in Haywood County for pothole repair.

Thursday, April 12, 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be temporary closures on I-40 east and west bound from MM95-12 in Henderson and Decatur Counties for pothole repair.

 

District 49 - West TN – Southwest

FAYETTE COUNTY, US 70 (US 79, SR-1): A bridge repair project on SR 1 over branch will result in lane closures in both directions daily.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-59 over I-40: A bridge repair project on US-70 (SR 79, SR 1) over branch and on SR 59 over I-40.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Slope Repair (Maintenance):
Monday, April 16, through Friday, April 20, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.:
SR 3 (HWY 51) northbound outside lane will be CLOSED beginning at MM 19.50 (near HWY 88 east) through MM 20.50 to allow for slope repair.  Weather Permitting.

LOOK AHEAD:
Monday, April 23, through Friday, April 27, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.:
SR 3 (HWY 51) northbound outside lane will be CLOSED beginning at MM 19.50 (near HWY 88 east) through MM 20.50 to allow for slope repair.  Weather Permitting.

 

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-87: A Resurfacing project on SR 87 from SR-209 to the Haywood County Line will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-209: A Resurfacing project on SR 209 from Main St. to Chipman Rd. will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Exit 1 to Exit 1A: Bridge repair project will cause possible lane closures on I-40 over the Mississippi River and 5 bridges over Wolf River, various ramps and city streets and railroad.

Saturday, April 14, 5:00 a.m. through Monday, April 16, 5:00 a.m.: The (2) two inside lanes on I-40 westbound will be CLOSED beginning at approximately MM 1.60 (Near Danny Thomas Exit 1B)  through MM 0.60 for repairs to the bridge over Second and Third Street. The traffic will be reduced to one lane, so expect traffic delays. One lane will remain open. Weather Permitting.

Shelby County, ITS Maintenance on I-40/I-55:
Thursday, April 12, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: CLOSE I-40 eastbound
outside lane beginning at Arkansas MM 284.00 through Tennessee / Arkansas state line to allow for repairs to ITS equipment. Weather Permitting. *Friday, April 13, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. will serve as a backup date.

Thursday, April 12, and Friday, April 13, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-55 (LM 11.20) north and southbound including “Off” ramps at McCLemore/Presidents Island to allow for asphalt repair.  Weather Permitting.

Monday, April 16, through Wednesday, April 18, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; INTERMITTENT ramp closures on SR-385 (LM 7.98) through (LM 8.67) “On” and “Off” ramps east and westbound at Forrest Hill Irene Road to allow for asphalt repair.  Weather Permitting.

Monday, April 16, through Wednesday, April 18, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; INTERMITTENT lane closures on SR-385 (LM 10.00) through (LM 10.50) outside eastbound lane at Houston Levee to allow for asphalt repair.  Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385: A bridge repair project on (SR-385) over Long Rd. (LM 10.48 and LM 11.94).
Wednesday, April 11, until Mid-Summer: SR-385 east and westbound between MM 9.80 through MM 11.20 the left lane in each direction will be CLOSED, to complete bridge work at Long Road. Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction and lane shift.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 MemFix 4: Replacement of Norfolk Southern, SR-57 east and westbound bridges, and repair of Park Avenue bridge over I-240. Park Avenue has one lane CLOSED in each direction on Park Avenue Bridge.

I-240: There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 east/west between Quince and Walnut Grove. The lane closures along I-240 east and westbound between Quince and Walnut Grove will stay in place throughout the project.

LOOK AHEAD:
Saturday, April 21, 7:00 a.m. through Monday, April 23, 6:00 a.m.:
There will be lane closures on I-240 Eastbound from the Quince Road overpass to the Walnut Grove overpass to remove the concrete barrier wall between the I-240 eastbound lanes and the CD road to Eastbound/Westbound Poplar Avenue. Two lanes on I-240 Eastbound will remain open during this time.

·         I-240 eastbound exit to Poplar Avenue westbound will be CLOSED. The Poplar Avenue eastbound exit to I-240 eastbound will be CLOSED. Detours will be provided. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather prohibiting; closures will be moved to next available day.

SHELBY COUNTY, Eastmoreland over I-240 (LM 0.36) and on U.S. 51 (SR 3) over the Wolf River (L.M. 15.25): Bridge repair will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Wednesday, April 11 until Mid-Summer:  There will be INTERMITTENT lane closures on US-51 (SR-3) at the Wolf River (LM 15.25) to perform the contracted bridge deck repair work. Weather Permitting.

Wednesday, April 11 until Mid-Summer:  The bridge over I-240 at LM 0.36 (Eastmoreland Avenue) will be CLOSED to perform the contracted bridge deck repair work.  Detour will be provided.  Weather Permitting.

Friday, April 13, 8:00 p.m. through Monday, April 16, 6:00 a.m.: CLOSE the I-240 north and southbound ramp at Union Avenue, along with the outside lane of I-240 north and southbound to perform the contracted bridge deck repair work. Detour will be provided. Weather permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY – The repair of bridges on Riverside Drive over I-55 (L.M. 0.23)
Friday, April 13, 8:00 p.m. through Monday, April 16, 6:00 a.m.
: I-55 north and southbound between MM 10.40 and MM 11.40 the two (2) inside lanes will have INTERMITTENT lane closures to complete bridge work at Riverside Dr. Outside lane will remain open. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project.

On April 21, 2017, Old Covington Pike East access to/from SR 14 was permanently CLOSED. *Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14: The grading, drainage, construction of concrete Bulb-Tee and I-beam bridges, signals and paving on SR 14 from east of Old Covington Pike to SR 385 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

Monday, April 16, and Tuesday, April 17, 8:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closure on SR-14. One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR 57 – Resurfacing on SR 57 from near I-240 (LM 8.18) to Val Verde (LM 10.75) (Standard Construction Co):
Wednesday, April 11 through Tuesday, April 17, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.
: There will be INTERMITTENT closures with one lane to remain open on SR 57 east and westbound (MM 8.18 to MM 10.75) to allow for resurfacing and safety improvements. Weather Permitting.

Wednesday, April 18 through Tuesday, April 24, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.
: There will be INTERMITTENT closures with one lane to remain open on SR 57 east and westbound (MM 8.18 to MM 10.75) to allow for resurfacing and safety improvements. Weather Permitting. 

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-175: Resurfacing on SR-175 from near Elvis Presley Blvd. to Swinnea will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Wednesday, April 11, through Wednesday, April 17, 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m., possible INTERMITTENT lane closures each day for patching, one lane will remain open in each direction.

 

SHELBY and FAYETTE COUNTY, - SR-385 Sign Conversion for I-269:

Wednesday, April 11 through Thursday, April 19, 8:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m.: There will be night time closures at the following various locations to install new overhead signs and new guardrail terminals. If weather prohibits, the repairs will be performed on the next available night. THP will assist with traffic control during night time closures. Weather Permitting.

·         SR 385 (I-269) north and southbound, MM 0.00 – MM 19.80; various locations; One lane will be CLOSED.

·         I-40 east and westbound, MM 23.00 – MM 27.40 east and westbound, various locations; One lane will be CLOSED.

·         I-40 east and westbound EXIT 24 A-B (Airline Road and I-269): One lane will be CLOSED.

·         SR 385 (I-269) northbound, near EXIT 18 at Donelson Farms Parkway; One lane will be CLOSED.

·         Lauderdale County, SR 19 east and westbound, MM 0.00 – MM 26.00, various locations; One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used.

·         Tipton County, SR 3 north and southbound, MM 0.00 – MM 25.00, various locations; Shoulder closure ONLY. Flagmen will be used.

·         Tipton County, SR 59 east and westbound, MM 0.00 – MM 20.00, various locations; One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used.

·         Fayette County, SR 59 east and westbound, MM 0.00 – MM 10.00; one lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used.

TIPTON COUNTY, SR 178: A Resurfacing project on SR 178 from US 51 (SR 3) to Starnes Road will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

TIPTON COUNTY, SR-206: A safety project through Local Programs on SR 206 from US-51 to Parks St. will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
