ANDERSON COUNTY, I-75 North and South between Mile Markers 126 and 127: On Monday, September 14, 2015 through Wednesday, September 16, 2015, motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. as crews perform bridge inspections in this area.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area.

 

ANDERSON COUNTY, SR 61 between the Roane County Line (Log Mile 0) and Midway Drive (Log Mile 2.7): Motorists should be alert for lane closures through this project as crews construct turn lanes in this area.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 North and South near Mile Marker 141: Motorists should be alert for possible nightly lane closures between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning on Sunday through Thursday as crews perform bridge repair work in this area.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, reduce speed and use extreme caution in this area.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 North and South between Mile Markers 145 and 148: Motorists should be alert for possible nightly lane closures between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning on Sunday through Thursday as crews perform work in this area.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, reduce speed and use extreme caution in this area

CARTER COUNTY, SR 362 Gap Creek Road between SR 361 and SR 67: Motorists should be alert for ongoing roadway construction at these locations to facilitate the completion of the new State Route 362 roadway alignment. Motorists should expect intermittent temporary lane shifts and lane closures, potential delays, and use extreme caution while traveling through this area as road construction will be ongoing with workers and equipment present. Motorists should also follow signs, be prepared for stop conditions, and pay close attention to traffic control devices directing traffic through these work zones.

CLAIBORNE COUNTY, SR 345 at US 25E:  Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times through construction project. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

COCKE/JEFFERSON COUNTY, US 25E/SR 32 Bridge over the French Broad River:  Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times through this bridge construction project near the Cocke and Jefferson County line. COCKE/JEFFERSON COUNTY, US 411/SR 35 at US 25W:  Motorists should be alert for a new traffic patterns and lane shifts through this project.  Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times through this construction project. JEFFERSON COUNTY, I-40 West between Mile Markers 418 and 419: On Monday, September 14, 2015, motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. as crews perform bridge repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays, and use extreme caution in this area.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, I-40 West between Mile Markers 421 and 422: On Tuesday, September 15, 2015, motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. as crews perform bridge repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays, and use extreme caution in this area.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, I-40 East and West Bridge over the French Broad River near Mile Marker 425: Both lanes of I-40 East and West across the bridge over Douglas Lake near Mile Marker 425 have re-opened. Motorists should remain to be alert for workers present through this bridge repair project.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, US 25W Bridge over the French Broad River and SR 113 Ramps at I-40: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures with flag personnel directing traffic at various times through this area as crews receive materials associated with the adjacent I-40 bridge repair project.  Motorists should be alert for equipment present and use extreme caution in this area.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, US 11E/ SR 34 between Sizer Street and the Hamblen County Line: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures through this area as crews perform work through this resurfacing project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, SR 62 (Oak Ridge Hwy. /Western Ave.) between Schaad Road and I-640: Motorists should be alert for lane closures throughout this widening project.  Motorists traveling in this area should be alert for workers and equipment present and be alert for changing traffic conditions, temporary road closures, detours, traffic shifts and use caution through this area. KNOX COUNTY, SR 33 Maynardville Highway between Afton Drive and Emory Road:  The crossover to Andersonville Pike between SR 33 northbound and southbound is closed as crews continue grade work in this area.  Traffic on SR 33 northbound wishing to access Andersonville Pike should follow detour signs to the intersection of SR 33 and Emory. Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures and lane shifts at various times as work continues through this construction project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, traffic shifts and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, SR 131 and SR 331 at Harbison Crossroads: Motorists should be alert for short duration traffic stops in both directions which may occur Monday through Friday through this project for equipment and utility crossings. Motorists should expect potential delays traveling through this area. 

LOUDON COUNTY, I-40 East between Mile Markers 366 and 367: On Monday, September 14, 2015, motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures at night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform roadway maintenance work in this area.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, I-75 North near Mile Marker 81: On Tuesday, September 15, 2015, motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures at night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform roadway maintenance work in this area.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, SR 2 between the Monroe County Line and Hatley Drive: Motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures at night between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning through this resurfacing project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, US 321/SR 73 between SR 2 and City Park Drive: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures at various times through this project. Motorists should be alert for changing conditions, workers present, construction equipment and use extreme caution through this area. MONROE COUNTY, I-75 North between Mile Markers 59 and 66: On Wednesday, September 16, 2015 and Thursday, September 17, 2015, motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures at night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform roadway maintenance work in this area.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area.

MONROE COUNTY, SR 360 between US 411 and SR 165: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closure during daylight hours through safety improvement project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution through this area.

MORGAN COUNTY, SR 116 Bridge over Stockstill Creek between Main Street and Cemetery Road in Petros:  SR 116 in this area is reduced to one lane controlled by a temporary traffic signal as crews begin bridge repairs.  Motorists should be alert for changed conditions and use extreme caution in this area.  This project is estimated to be complete on or before November 30, 2015.

MORGAN/ROANE COUNTY, US27/SR29 between Whetstone Road and SR 61:  Motorists should be alert for closed shoulders and possible temporary lane closures with flagging personnel present at various times throughout this construction project. Motorists should be alert for reduced speeds and use extreme caution in this area.

ROANE COUNTY, I-40 East between Mile Markers 347 and 356: Motorists should be alert for possible nightly lane closures between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning on Sundays through Thursdays through this resurfacing project.  Motorists should expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area. 

SEVIER COUNTY, I-40 East and West at Exit 407:.The new I-40 Exit 407 Diverging Diamond interchange is open to traffic. Drivers are encouraged to use caution and pay close attention to signs and pavement markings as they grow accustomed to the new traffic pattern.  Motorists should be alert for work still ongoing through this project and use caution in this area.

SEVIER COUNTY, SR 66 over I-40 at Exit 407:  The new I-40 Exit 407 Diverging Diamond interchange is open to traffic. Drivers are encouraged to use caution and pay close attention to signs and pavement markings as they grow accustomed to the new traffic pattern.  Motorists should be alert for work still ongoing through this project and use caution in this area.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area. SEVIER COUNTY, SR 66 in Sevierville SR 139 (Douglas Dam Rd.) and SR 338 W (Boyd’s Creek Hwy):  Motorists should be alert for construction activities as crews perform work through this project. SULLIVAN COUNTY, US 11E/SR 34 at US 19E/SR 37: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures daily in this area. A temporary detour of SR 37/US19E is in place at the intersection of SR 34/US 11E. Traffic signals have been installed and are operational at the intersection of SR34/37 and SR37/44. Motorists should be alert for changed conditions and follow signed detours. Whitehead Road is closed to thru traffic at the intersection with US 11E and detoured for approximately 2 weeks. Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use extreme caution through this bridge construction and intersection reconstruction project.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, SR 34 between SR 44 and Bristol City Limits: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures and lane shifts through this project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, SR 347 between SR 355 Industry Drive and Lincoln Street: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures as crews perform work on the overhead pedestrian bridge.  Motorists should use extreme caution in this area.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, SR 126 between Jared Drive and Lincoln Street: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures and construction activities and use extreme caution through this project.

UNICOI COUNTY, I-26 East and West between Mile Markers 28 and 30: Motorists should be alert for possible nightly lane closures between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning on Sundays through Thursdays through this area as crews perform bridge repairs.  Motorists should expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area.

UNICOI COUNTY, SR 395 between Rock Creek Park and SR 107: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures during daylight hours through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution through this area.

UNICOI COUNTY, SR 107 at Main Street:  Motorists should remain alert for construction activities to continue as crews complete final items through this project.

UNION COUNTY, Existing SR 33 Bridge over Clinch River (Norris Lake) Weight Restrictions: The existing State Route 33 Bridge over Norris Lake is posted with weight limit restrictions and is being strictly enforced.  Weight restrictions are: 5 axle vehicles are 35 tons; 3 or 4 axle vehicle is 22 tons; 2 axle vehicles are 20 tons.  VEHICLES WEIGHING IN EXCESS OF THE RESTRICTED WEIGHTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CROSS THE BRIDGE AND MUST FOLLOW A DETOUR ROUTE. Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures with flaggers directing traffic at various times and use extreme caution approaching the bridge.

WASHINGTON/SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-26 East and West at SR 75 (Exit 13) Interchange Improvement Project:  Motorists should be alert for possible nightly lane closures and brief rolling roadblocks between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform work through this project.  Motorists should be alert for slowed traffic and expect potential delays in this area. Motorists should be alert for changing conditions, lane shifts, shoulder closures with portable concrete barrier rail and reduced speed limits through this interchange modification project.  Motorists should use extreme caution and expect potential delays when traveling through this area.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, SR 36 between SR 354 and SR 75: Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures throughout the project.  These closures should not last more than a few minutes.  Traffic has been shifted on SR36 to the inside lanes from Boone Avenue up to Oak Grove.  Transitions for these lane shifts are designated by pavement markings and construction barrels.  Browns Road is closed but can be accessed via Boones Creek Road.  Orchard Avenue is closed.  Traffic is still shifted at Spurgeon Island Road.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.
