BENTON COUNTY, SR-69:  Miscellaneous safety improvements on State Route 69A from Reynoldsburg Road to Cedar Grove Road will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, with flagmen, for the installation of guardrail, striping, and snowplowable marker installation.

CARROLL COUNTY SR-76:  There will be temporary lane closures daily between Trezevant and McKenzie for paving operations.

DYER COUNTY, I-155: Bridge Repair on I-155 over the Mississippi River

Thursday, July 23, 2015 through Wednesday, August 31, 2016: There will be lane closures eastbound and westbound on I-155 over the Mississippi River Bridge, for duration of the project. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 14’ 10.5” lane restriction. Speed limit has been reduced to 60 MPH. An emergency last shift was put in place for the westbound outside lane on the Missouri side of the bridge at the end of the closure.

FAYETTE and HAYWOOD COUNTY, SR-222: A grading project on State Route 222 from north of I-40 to south of Camp Ground Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64):  A widening project on State Route 15 from Firetower Road to west of Bigbee Branch. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64): A bridge repair project on State Route 15 over the Tennessee River. There will be possible lane closures beginning next week to repair navigational lights. Motorists should use caution.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on State Route 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR-15) in Savannah. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-203: Miscellaneous safety improvements from State Route 226 to Choate Creek Road will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-203: Miscellaneous safety improvements from Choate Creek Road to Nichols Branch will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily.

HENDERSON COUNTY, SR-114: There will be lane closures from Chumney Cemetery Rd. to Andrew McPeak Circle, for the application of High Friction Surface Treatment.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-69A: Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the Benton County line to north of Mays Bridge Road.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-76 (US-79): Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from Service Master Drive to West Antioch Road. One lane will remain open in each direction.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-218: Grading, drainage, construction of I-beam bridge and paving 2.6 miles on State Route 218 from State Route 69 northwest of Paris to US-641 (State Route 54). On Friday

May 8, 2015, Iron Banks Road was closed to thru traffic until approximately October 31, 2016.

On Monday, October 12, 2015, Paris-Whitlock Road will be closed to thru traffic until approximately October 31, 2016.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-208: A widening project on State Route 208 (State Route 209/Cleveland Street) beginning at State Route 209 (Washington Street) and extending to State Route 208 at US-51/State Route 3 in Ripley. All routes are open but there will be possible temporary lane closures daily. Watch for flagmen.

MADISON COUNTY, I-40: Monday, October 19 through Friday, October 24, 7:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be a temporary lane closure westbound I-40 from West of Norfolk Southern Railroad to east of Highland Avenue for soil borings.

MCNAIRY COUNTY SR-57: A bridge replacement project will cause a reduction in lanes in both directions on State Route 57 over Cypress Creek. Traffic is reduced to one lane, with a temporary signal, for duration of the project.

OBION COUNTY, SR-22: Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the State Route 22 connector to State Route 214.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Canada Road

Wednesday, October 21 through Wednesday, October 28:

I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH. There are lane shifts east and westbound on I-40. On December 5, 2014, there were transitions southbound and northbound on Canada Road. Paving operations have begun on Canada Road.

Wednesday, October 21 through Wednesday, October 28:

The outside (right) lane of I-40 Eastbound over the Mississippi River is closed for repair work. The outside lane of I-40 Westbound over the Mississippi River bridge is closed for repair work.

 

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements:

Summer Avenue: The right westbound lane is CLOSED, beginning just west of the existing I-240 northbound bridge over Summer Avenue to allow for construction access.

Sam Cooper EB: The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound is CLOSED, beginning east of Perkins Road to the I-40/I-240 interchange.

Sam Cooper WB: The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Westbound is CLOSED, beginning east of the I-40/I-240 interchange.

I-240: There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 between Walnut Grove and I-40 interchange. One lane of northbound I-240 is also CLOSED in this same section.

I-40 WB: 3 lanes will remain open for bridge work over the Wolf River Bridge.

(1 lane Sam Cooper, 1 lane I-240W, 1 lane I-40W/new flyover)

I-40 EB: 4 lanes will remain open for bridge work over the Wolf River Bridge.

(2 lanes I-240E to I-40E, 1 lane I-40E (new flyover) 1 lane Sam Cooper

I-240 EB ramp has 2 lanes open.

I-240 EB to I-40 WB has the left lane closed.

Summer Ave. Exit:  The Summer Ave. exit from I-40 WB will remain closed until completion of Wolf River Bridge.  Motorist must exit off  I-40 WB at Exit 12 (Sycamore View) and follow detour to Summer Ave.

Beginning 10-7-15: Covington Pike will be one lane at the intersection for approximately 2 months.

Monday night, October 26 from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

     INTERMITTENT lane closures including a total closure for approximately 15 minutes on I-240 eastbound beginning north of Walnut Grove Road extending to the I-40 eastbound exit (Exit 12C) for overhead sign construction activities.

  • Tuesday night, October 27 and Wednesday night, October 28 will serve as backup dates. 

Wednesday, October 21 through Friday, November 6 each night from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Sunday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.)

     INTERMITTENT lane closures along I-40 EASTbound and WESTbound from the I-40/240 interchange to Sycamore View for milling and paving operations.

Saturday, October 24 from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  1.      the two right lanes of I-240 westbound beginning at Sam Cooper Boulevard (LM-12.0) extending to the Walnut Grove Road Interchange (LM-13.4) for noise wall construction activities.
  2. Sunday, October 25 and Saturday, October 31 will serve as backup dates. 

Saturday, October 24 from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  1.      the right lane of I-40 eastbound beginning at the I-40/I-240 Interchange extending to Sycamore View (Exit 12) for relocation of portable barrier rail for wall drainage construction activities.
  2. Sunday, October 25 and Saturday, October 31 will serve as backup dates.

Saturday, October 31 from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  1.      the two right lanes of I-240 westbound beginning at Sam Cooper Boulevard (LM-12.0) extending to the Walnut Grove Road Interchange (LM-13.4) for noise wall construction activities.
  2. Sunday, November 1 will serve as backup date. 

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Night time resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from west of Kentucky Street to State Route 4.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-4: Night time resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from US-51 (State Route 3) to US-70 (State Route 1).

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-4: Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from south of John Paul Drive to SR-277 (Airways Boulevard). One lane will remain open in each direction.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on State Route 14 for a widening project from State Route 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. April 27, 2015 through May 11, 2016, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a. m. there will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project. Speed limit has been reduced to 45MPH. As of May 13, 2015, Egypt-Central Road and Momosa Road have been CLOSED to thru traffic until December 31, 2015.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14: Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions, from State Route 277 (Trezevant Street) to the I-40 ramp, 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m. One lane will remain open in each direction.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14: Bridge Repair on State Route 14 over overflows log mile 26.28, 26.58 & 26.74, Loosahatchie River log mile 26.90 and overflow log mile 27.25. There will be temporary lane closures, for the duration of the project. Beginning Friday July 10, 2015, there is be a lane width restriction 11’6” between log mile 26.25 and 27.25, which is approximately 3 miles Southwest of State Route 385/State Route 14 intersection in northeast Shelby County. Temporary signal is being utilized. Friday, August 21, 2015, traffic was switched to the northbound side of the bridge with one lane closed. On Friday, September 4, 2015 both lanes on the bridge at log mile 26.90 will be reopened. On Tuesday September 8 through Monday, November 30, 2015 the southbound lane on bridge at log mile 27.25 will be closed.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72):  Construction on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project. 

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-175: Grade, drain, and pave on State Route 175 (Byhalia Road) from south of Shelby Post Road to south of State Route 385 will cause possible lane closure.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-176: Bridge repair project on State Route 176 over Winchester Road. Friday, October 23, 8:00 p. m. through Monday, October 26, 5:00 a. m.: There will be possible lane closure in each direction on Winchester Road for the duration of this project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-205: Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions, from State Route 57 to south of US 64 (State Route 15). One lane will remain open in each direction.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385: Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Loosahatchie River. Traffic is reduced to one north and one southbound lane; a twelve (12’) lane will be maintained in each direction.  Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

Bridge Repair (2) on State Route 385 over Memphis-Arlington Road & Hall Creek. A traffic shift will cause traffic to move on both east and westbound bridges.

Traffic was moved over last week for Phase 2 Construction. Memphis-Arlington Road and eastbound lane of Hall Creek bridge have been dug out for expansion joints. They have begun the composite fiber encasement. Wrap on beams on the Loosahatchie River Bridges and delineators on the parapet rails.  Deck joints have been sealed. Grooving will begin this week along with texture coat to finish. Traffic has been switched over to the left lane westbound on State Route 385 over Loosahatchie-expansion joints being installed.

Wednesday, October 21 through Tuesday, October 28, (including Friday, Saturday & Sunday night) 8:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Carroll & Benton Counties, eastbound & westbound (MM 119.0 to MM 134.0), one lane will remain open.

TDOT REGION 4 Miscellaneous Safety Improvements Using High Friction Surface Treatment on Various State Routes

Friday, October 23, 8:00 p.m. through Monday, October 26, 6:00 a.m.: There will be lane closures eastbound and westbound on State Route 385 in Shelby County between log mile 9.25 and log mile 10.75 at Houston Levee Road. The ramp from Houston Levee Road to westbound State Route 385 will also be closed with a detour posted. At least one lane will remain open at all times.  THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

Friday, October 23, 8:00 p.m. through Monday, October 26, 6:00 a.m.: There will be a lane closure westbound left two lanes and eastbound left two lanes on State Route 385 in Shelby County between log mile 2.25 and log mile 3.50 at Kirby Road. One lane will remain open at all times. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

TDOT MAINTENANCE:

Wednesday, October 21 through Wednesday, October 28, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis. Weather Permitting.

TIPTON and HAYWOOD COUNTIES, SR-54: Wednesday, October 21 through Wednesday, October 28: Bridge Repair on State Route 54 over Hatchie River at log mile 9.60. A signal system will be utilized. On July 6, 2015, State Route 54 over Hatchie River, traffic was reduced to one lane with a 11’ 2” lane restriction. Westbound lane is still closed to traffic for expansion joint repair and installation of steel reinforcements.
